The single individual found in this feature – an adult female about 45-55 yr. (Ind. 49) – is the only one in the sample with evidence for intentional cranial deformation (by vertical compression). She has Wormian bones (super-numerary bones around the lambdoid suture). She is also the individual with the most severe dental problems: frequent cavities, antemortem tooth loss and large abcesses in the maxilla and mandible. A polished axe-like stone tool and an incised pottery lid were the only grave goods. A deer bone and a group of crab claws may be food offerings.
