number on object 0007, also JW 54.32 on paper tag on reverse and 65. MARTA Excel: Colgante antropomorfo doble. INAC: colgante figurilla anropomofa; dos personas, una montada sobre la otra; la de encima sostiene un baston de mondo y presenta un tocado; el hombre de abajo muestra los genitales. La pieza presenta un codigo JW 54-32 y un numero 65 en la parte de atras. Tiene nucleo negro de oxido de cobre. Tumbaga, cera peridid. Mise en couleur estado bueno.

thin whitish tan over some parts of exposed black core - part of cleaning surface dirt? or just the remains of dirt?. Fine pale blue powdery corrosion on areas of revealed core that appear to relate to cleaning. Otherwise, no corrosion visible. JW 5432 painted on fabric patch on back PL leg.

Physical Description: Decorative Detail

Note: Stylistic info: Colombia, per R.G. Cooke. Colombia (Muisca culture?) per E.G. Howe (23 July 2007): as-cast, very rough. Alot of surface bubbles. Votive purpose. Usually, if Muisca, monodimensional, flat figures, often alot of wax wire on top. by its shape, decorative style and color effects.

Technique: Fabrication Method

cast Note: Raw as-cast surface - casting blips, surface irregularities, dendrites, surface not worked, no tool marks. Assume lost wax cast, with many openings that link core and investment. Core (black, grainy, fine) is intact (EGH hasn't seem core / usually flat). Casting flaws and deliberate openings reveal this material (where there was never metal) - so not subsurface corrosion. Looks more like clay.

Treatment: Conservation Performed

Note: 2007: Surface cleaned/degreased with acetone on cotton swab, avoiding resin patch with acc.#. Previous treatment info: lavado Canasol 21 Nov 1995
