Open back cast cougar pendant with suspension loops on front paws, coffee bean eyes, raised ears, and wire-work teeth all done in wax model. Surface enrichment likely through depletion gilding.

Gold plated figurine ornaments from Prov. of Veraguas, Panama, collected y Sr. Juan Gratacos, Panama, and from him purchased (Order no.10987) through Dr.J.A Mason. No data on exact site or conditions of finding. All cast in molds and thinly plated

Accession records specify "no info on site." Juan Gratacos, however, did send Lothrop site info on objects at Peabody from Veraguas.

Good condition except that the base alloy is slightly corroded, causing the surface layer of gold to flake off in some areas. There is a very slight amount of green corrosion on the surface. No losses
