Note: Condition Review
PL ear partially missing, detached fragment and loss on front edge of slit. Large hole at center back of bell (head) [probably in area of thin mold wall/casting flaw) and smaller hole near it. Outer surface is compacted black, high points shiny. Green corrosion products in interstices and scattered small patches overall on exterior. Pale purplish-grey corrosion around small hole. Interior overall variegated green thin corrosion layer, some scattered bulkier products. Exterior looks cleaned. Detached fragment held in place with glue and clear plastic fill, but not properly aligned (overlapping the bell break on the inside).

Technique: Fabrication Method
Note: Cast bell in copper alloy, with clapper in place. Surface looks unfinshed. Decorative elements were applied in the wax using round wax wire: hanging loop where neck would be (head upside-down), S-shaped ears; double wire band across forehead, mouth, eyes. Overall form looks like two conical sections joined in center (brow line). Slit goes across top of head one ear to other. Clapper: prob cast separately, very irregular, corrosion product. Clapper could have been inserted through slit then pinched closer.
Measurements:
Measurement Note: Weight: 12.8 g Measurements: Loop to top of head 33 mm, nose to back of head 21 mm, max diam of bell 20 x 22 cm.
