number on object 0030. MARTA Excel: Pendiente cocodrilo fenestrado. INAC: Figura zoomorfa. (Lagarto) ojos ranurados y hocico con aros. Cuerpo con perforaciones rectangulares simulando escamas y la cola curvada. Tumbaga, Cera perdida. Estado de la pieza: Buena. La pieza tiene en la extremidad derecha delantera y en la trasera presenta pequeno faltante.

delamination btn gilding/substrate metal, mostly along outer edges, some perfor edges. Some intergranular green corosion products in exposed substrate. espec in perfor edges where wax model less finished and gold less burnished. Uniform coating of carbon-rich soot (?).

cast Note: Cast, lost wax, no visible sprue (guess: probably at head). Thickness at 1.9-0.9 body. Details present in wax included: eyes, nose, mouth decorated with wax wires; rectangular perforations cut from front to back, with burrs on back softened with heat; wax wire loop attached on underside of PR front foot
Treatment: Conservation Performed
Note: 2007: Surface cleaned/degreased with acetone on cotton swab, avoiding resin patch with acc.#. Previous treatment info: Lavado en Canasol 23 Nov 1995.
