Note: Condition Review
There is evidence of consolidation in areas on the clay core near foil edges, perhaps to secure foil to core. Consolidant is failing. There is a two twist fiber around the neck of the figure securing the foil to front and back. There is no evidence of corrosion. There are areas of loss of the foil and it is wrinkled, torn, and lifting in many places. The foil is lifting in many places. The foil only remains on approximately 1/3 of the object. The clay substrate is in excellent condition. There is fine abrasion on the edges.
Note: Housing Notes
Rebagged in polyethylene ziplock bag with Tyvek tag insert. A "Beaubien" ring was formed of volara secured with hot melt glue and placed in the bag surrounding the object as protection.
