Central America, Panama, Herrera Province, Parita District, Parita, Península de Azuero. Excavated in 1965 by Helen Garcelon
Note: Condition Review
Some of the enriched gold layer on the surface is missing or abraded revealing a black core underneath, especially on the obverse of the body where a large amount of gold is missing. There is mostly green corrosion on the surface and in pockets of the interior. There is also some white-tan accretion over the corroded surfaces. Appears to have been coated with clear coating.
