There appears to be plaster on the interior of the gold sheathing at the back two legs- a modern repair most likely done by the owner after excavation. The copal is a bit degraded but still maintains the general form and some transparency.

Special Sample taken. A few specks of copal are present in bottom of container. Sampled: Two small pieces of the orange resin material were taken from bottom of box and placed in a labeled vial
