Open back cast Au-Cu alloy pendant. Dendritic structure is clearly visible on most surfaces. Accession records: purchased from Karl P. Curtis. Not other information received with specimens"
Note: Condition Review
In excellent condition. No fragments. No visible corrosion on surface but parts of the triangle attachments on headdress are broken off and there are cracks in the torso and at join of PL arm where some black corrosion is visible under magnification under the surface. There is a break in the wire above the PL arm that is out of plane and there is a small amount of clear adhesive residue on surface. Clear coating present.
Note: Follow-up Notes
General XRF. ESEM-EDS in areas of different colors and in different phases of dendritic structure. Also- Broken corner of triangle at farthest PR appears best for imaging/elemental analysis of a cross section. Get photos of dendritic structure. ESEM of tops of triangles and bottom.. perhaps cast-on or repaired?
