The tooth material is deteriorated and missing a large portion at the bottom. The sheathing is loose and comes off the tooth. Small amount of brown accretions on surface of gold. Thickly covered in clear lacquer. Tooth material appears heavily impregnated with lacquer

Special sample taken. Sample was removed from bottom of box near this tooth shape with sheathing. FTIR and GC-MS on sample. What is substrate material? Was there another perishable material?
