Note: Condition Review
Fragmentary with many breaks and cracks. Interior appears almost completely black and mineralized. Edges are crumbling. Three small fragments are preserved separately in a polyethylene bag. There is no green corrosion present, which may indicate chemical cleaning. There are also surface areas that appear more coppery, perhaps due to overcleaning. Dendritic pattern on surface may also be from chemical cleaning
Note: Follow-up Notes
Special. Extremely mineralized and brittle but interesting dendritic features visible on surface and at break edge. If it would be at all possible to do ESEM-EDS to determine the composition of the dendrites at break, that would be interesting
Note: Analysis Recommendations
XRF X-ray radiograph ESEM-EDS

Gold Alloy Note: Dendritic structure visible on some surfaces- also, the cross-section of the broken wire/rod shows metallic dendritic structure (.025mm wide) within black mineralized material.
Technique: Fabrication Method
Cast- Open Back Note: Dendrites visible at the more coppery colored surfaces
Technique: Joinery
Note: No evidence of joinery outside of wax model
