Note: Object Description
Large cast bell with braided cast wire ring on top with single suspension loop and a cast wire relief face on either side of the body. The faces have coffee bean eyes, triangular noses, spiral ears, and cast wire lips. There is a wide slit that extends just past halfway up the body. The body is in a wide, squat, biconical shape. There is a large clapper present. 43.7g

" The Dade collection specimens, at the Museum of the American Indian, listed from the Finca Calderon undoubtedly come from this site [He-4, El Hatillo] as well as many of those listed from Parita. Mr.Philip L Dade of the SOciety recently excavated a number of graves at the site (personal communication from Dr.S.K.Lothrop)..."

There is a light green and white accretion in the crevices and on the surface, similar to bell # 243295B. There are some losses in the surface gold rich layer revealing a darker interior. Coated with clear coating in which there are many fibers near the numbering.
