number on object 0332 MARTA Excel: Pectoral INAC: Pectoral de oro. decoracion circular repujada en el centro. Oro, cera perdida. La pieza esta un poco arrugada en el centr. tiene una protuberancia, se le observa cuatro agujeros cerca del borde y alrededeor, del mismo tiene una decoracion punteada. Peso 51.9 g, diam 11.5 cm lavado Canasol 21 Nov 95 Weight: 51.8 g Diam: 11.72 cm Sheet thickness: edge 0.25mm, closer toward center 0.35-0.4 mm

One patch of shearing most visible on verso. The surface is unusual - the edge marks of the anvil are very apparent, hard. Edge is folded over toward verso - looks accidental, associated with minor tears along edges. Dented.

Note: Hammering out bosses near outer edge on anvil has left scar on both sides. Band of fresh anvil marks around central boss on both sides.
Technique: Fabrication Method
Hammered-Sheet Note: Irregularly shaped not quite round disk, conical protrusion in center, with 4 punched holes. Irregular outermost edge. Then smaller incomplete ring of embossings, some of which have been hammered over and flattened; then complete circle of large embossings (irregularly spaced and not neat) along rim. Looks like made on a hard surface b/c hard edge of scar (not wood). Not skillful.
Treatment: Conservation Performed
Surface cleaned/degreased with acetone on cotton swab, avoiding resin patch with acc.#
